Wednesday, November 12, 2008 @ 9:40 PM i.was.in.denial. There's a reason why I don't have a comment link on my blog. It was long gone before my blog became a public blog. Let's turn back the years to when I was at form 4. That time, the whole blogging thing wasn't a trend yet. A friend introduced blogspot to me and told me to get one for myself. I didn't really know what is the purpose of blogging, so I ended up using it as a medium for me to vent my anger, rant & bitch all i want so that all my unspoken grudges will gradually dissipate, and no one has to know. It is one hell of a good way to release anger. Blogging - your cheapest anger management solution, at least for me. My blog was a private one, until a friend linked my site at her blog and my blog became accessible to other people. Back then, I anti-ed having to be involved in any social networking sites, like friendster and myspace. I treated myself like an "outcast" and i hate to follow the "trends" set by the "norm". I have a friendster account, but i rarely use it, because eventually, I got irritated as many people kept pestering me to write them testimonials (the more the testimonials, the more popular you are wtf). Hello? What is this man. Damn vain I tak boleh tahan. Hence, I abandoned it. Blog later became "in fashion", and many people started blogging. Many socialites wannabes use blog to brag bout their oh-so-glamourous lives, always presenting their perfect life to the viewers eyes. Again, I super tak boleh tahan. At one point I wanted to give up blogging because of these people. Obviously, I did not. I continued blogging, but I didn't want to know who read my blog (high traffic or low traffic etc etc), so I removed the comment link. Hence, I cant trace those who visited my blog (i know bout IP addresses and all but i seriously couldnt be bothered). The reason is damn dumb, i know, but that way, I feel less stressed, and, I can write freely, without having to know people's opinion. (Another way to think is that I was in denial as knowing no one visits my blog would be daunting) Ha Ha! A few years had passed and my thoughts have changed. Blog is just a place for different people, who have different interests and talents, to write what they wish to convey to the public. Some people brag, some write really good articles, (some write rubbish - i used a toothbrush to brush my teeth, I went to the zoo and saw a tiger etc), some people bring justice, some seek attention, and some people just use it as a source for hot juicy gossips >=) I actually thought of putting back the comment link, but I, being a html noob, do not know how. Oh well. I was in denial, still in denial, will be in denial. I shall just leave my blog as it is now :) Oh my, i can actually blog about my comment link. Now, i feel like a hypocrite cuz I have a facebook account. = / Labels: Random 0 shouts. |
