Monday, November 24, 2008 @ 7:27 AM The night that snowed. Just like how BBC had promised us. Yesterday, It was already 1am and I was in a cab with Jacqueline. We were on our way back from work when i noticed the light flakes floating its way down from the sky, just like a colloidal partical dispersed in the air. I cant help myself from 'wah-ing', as it was just too beautiful. The snow, ironically, gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling. It is a sign that Christmas is coming. Woohooooo! I love the seasons! When we arrived back at JBC, most of us were outside, celebrating the arrival of the snow! Excitement was mounting in everyone as the snow got heavier. As usual, we camwhored, jakun style. Some screamed, some got naked, some just danced in the snow ecstatically! So jakun we actually got threw eggs at and a whole lot of other stuff too from the opposite block of JBC. No kidding. Stupid ang mohs, can't they just let us act like a kid just for one night? This morning, there were traces of smashed tomato, mustard, broken condom (no kidding) on the walkway of JBC. Imagine lar what the no-lifes do when they see foreigner go frenzy over the snow. But at some point we can't blame them as it was very silly of us to scream over the solid form of H20. Oh well, who cares la I enjoyed every moment of the snowflakes kissing me bare skin! Ticklish, like s soft pinch! So brainless of me for leaving my handphone in the cab. Even more brainless for not noticing that it is missing until i needed it to set alarm. Thankfully the driver was a good samaritan, who purposely made his way to Rottenrow East to give the phone back to me. I'm damn lucky, I know. Huhu, before I knew I could get my phone back I actually had a new phone in mind wtf. Thank you Mr Taxi driver for your kind heart. Labels: Just another day, Life, Random 0 shouts. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 @ 10:10 PM Damn, I must have been a really good rubbish collector! I really couldn't find another reason why City G8 called me to work for them again. Oh yes there is. The job is too sucky and no one wants it. I was working at the SECC, again, as a table clearer. It was ok at first, but I have customers telling me that I'm good in what i do bla bla bla. So does that mean I should quite pharmacy and become a permanent rubssih collector. Damn depressing lar i dun wan to be a rubbish collector :( The event I was working for this time was for the retirees. The Retirement Show, they called the event. As expected, most people in the event are all for Ah Gongs and Ah Pos. In the event, they offered many activities for the old people, such as dance classes, healthy cooking classes, facials, spa treatments etc. Also, there were booths selling holiday villas for the retiree to indulge in the remaining phase of their life. They even offered tips on how to live their life to the fullest! Its good to know that the community actually cares so much for the old, UNTIL I SAW A BOOTH SELLING COFFINS!! As if being old is not bad enough but must your remind them that they will die soon? :S Time passed really slowly on that particular saturday at SECC. Watching ah gongs and ah pos dance was how i killed my time when i had no rubbish to clear =.=;; I was really nice watching them dance, and they all seemed so happy. I was enjoying myself, until out of a sudden, a random guy just walked up to me and said' 'You will become one of them, one day.' and he grinned at me. I paused for 3.479 seconds, and I replied him, "errrr......i know?" WTF??!?!?!??!?!!? And i later spent the rest of the day thinking of what i will be doing when I get old. =/ Come to think of it, its really a blessing to be able to live that long. 0 shouts. @ 9:40 PM i.was.in.denial. There's a reason why I don't have a comment link on my blog. It was long gone before my blog became a public blog. Let's turn back the years to when I was at form 4. That time, the whole blogging thing wasn't a trend yet. A friend introduced blogspot to me and told me to get one for myself. I didn't really know what is the purpose of blogging, so I ended up using it as a medium for me to vent my anger, rant & bitch all i want so that all my unspoken grudges will gradually dissipate, and no one has to know. It is one hell of a good way to release anger. Blogging - your cheapest anger management solution, at least for me. My blog was a private one, until a friend linked my site at her blog and my blog became accessible to other people. Back then, I anti-ed having to be involved in any social networking sites, like friendster and myspace. I treated myself like an "outcast" and i hate to follow the "trends" set by the "norm". I have a friendster account, but i rarely use it, because eventually, I got irritated as many people kept pestering me to write them testimonials (the more the testimonials, the more popular you are wtf). Hello? What is this man. Damn vain I tak boleh tahan. Hence, I abandoned it. Blog later became "in fashion", and many people started blogging. Many socialites wannabes use blog to brag bout their oh-so-glamourous lives, always presenting their perfect life to the viewers eyes. Again, I super tak boleh tahan. At one point I wanted to give up blogging because of these people. Obviously, I did not. I continued blogging, but I didn't want to know who read my blog (high traffic or low traffic etc etc), so I removed the comment link. Hence, I cant trace those who visited my blog (i know bout IP addresses and all but i seriously couldnt be bothered). The reason is damn dumb, i know, but that way, I feel less stressed, and, I can write freely, without having to know people's opinion. (Another way to think is that I was in denial as knowing no one visits my blog would be daunting) Ha Ha! A few years had passed and my thoughts have changed. Blog is just a place for different people, who have different interests and talents, to write what they wish to convey to the public. Some people brag, some write really good articles, (some write rubbish - i used a toothbrush to brush my teeth, I went to the zoo and saw a tiger etc), some people bring justice, some seek attention, and some people just use it as a source for hot juicy gossips >=) I actually thought of putting back the comment link, but I, being a html noob, do not know how. Oh well. I was in denial, still in denial, will be in denial. I shall just leave my blog as it is now :) Oh my, i can actually blog about my comment link. Now, i feel like a hypocrite cuz I have a facebook account. = / Labels: Random 0 shouts. Monday, November 03, 2008 @ 4:59 AM When my two housemates were looking at one of the 7 wonders of the world, ![]() I was stuck looking at this crazy crowd of humans. Not just looking at them, but also sweeping of bread crumbs from tables, wiping spilled coffee stains, and picking up after the customers. It was too nice of them to call us the table clearer, when the truth is that I am actually the rubbish collector. My working outfit. I was working at the Exhibition Centre for the weekend at the BBCgoodfood show. Ha! Who knew Gordon Ramsay would just walk passed me, as in right in front of me! He smelled, erm manly, of course. haha. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining. 5.60GBP per hour is good money. Who cares about collecting rubbish. Plus, the employers were very generous people. Lunch break I get to choose what i want to eat. Buffet style. Being a true Malaysian, I took full advantage of it and I get to save dinner too! =) Ahh feels real good coming back from work, despite the sore legs, muscle aches and painful shoulders. Makes my sleep for the night much more peaceful and pleasant. The house of H7 seemed so different without the presence of those two people. Its like it lacks energy. This may sound absurd but seriously, I actually miss the both of them. awww. 0 shouts. Sunday, November 02, 2008 @ 5:23 AM After months and months of slacking/procrastination/spending-like-there-is-no-tomorrow, finally, I've done something noble. I'VE GOT A JOB! Now, there's at least an income to my starving bank accont. The rate of excretion is just way too high. This whole getting a job thing has been driving most of us nuts. Its like we're competiting among ourselves to get jobs. Even from that you'll see things that U dun usually see. Ahh nvm on that. How great it would be if everyone gets a job. =/ I feel like I've achieved something great. Working in different places gives me different experience, but so far my jobs only involves plate waiting, serving, table clearing etc etc. Never knew a job that seemed so easy is actually not that easy after all. Who knew plate waiting can actually build muscles? U tell me! Every time after work, all you want is just a back massage or just lie flat facing the floor, hoping that the chair will just roll over you, HARD!Just so you know, I'm officially a Crowne Plaza Part Time Waitress. =) Sounds all big and reputable and geng and such, NO, it is NOT. Why? 1. It is not as professional as how other 4 star hotel. If not, a person like me also cannot be qualified to become a waitress lar rite. 2. The manager shouts at you as if you're like a dog. He just reminds me so much of Gordon Ramsay in Hell's Kitchen. (HA! I saw him at work today! Ya he looks just like how he looks on tv, duh~) 3. The plates are like made of bricks of gold. It was just too heavy, I wasn't physically and mentally prepared for it. Lately, I've been burying myself in piles of printed journals for my research project. The progress of my project is even slower than a snail. I've not met my supervisor more than twice and this bugs me so much because I really dunno what's going on and others have already started with their introduction! Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It even haunts me in my sleep. Need to read more journals now. Labels: Life 0 shouts. |
