Sunday, August 31, 2008 @ 4:12 AM 3 weeks back, I grumbled, wishing that I had more free time to waste, more time to do what I am best at, shopping (no, i'm not proud of it). Now that I have time, I'm still complaining. Every day of every week is just the same mundane routine. My life is so humdrum and I'm running out of things to do. Even more saddening, I had to resolve to sleep to kill time. My I need more 'oohm' to my life!! Help meeee!!! When in Edinburgh, We climbed up Calton Hill, which sets right in the middle of the Capital of Scotland. Hundreds steps + super low stamina, left me gasping for air after the steep climb. The magnificent view of Edinburgh city left me even more breathless. Behind, the unfinished National Monument, supposedly Posing with the view over Edinburgh. The wind gave us the model-hair-blowing effect. Wooot! Castle of Edinburgh. The entrance fee into the castle cost 12 freaking pounds! I had to save for shopping so I din go in... :P St. Giles cathedral at the Royal Mile. We are all from the same family. At University of Edinburgh. Miss Malaysian Pageant posing in front of the library. Greyfriars Bobby, a Skye Terrier, spent 14 years guarding his owner grave until his own death! 14 years sitting on his master's grave! Dogs are known as man's best friend for a reason. Me loves my dog even more now! Love the hills! Somewhere in Edinburgh! Too many pictures, lazy to post all. *** You know, we have as much chance of getting hit by lightning as you do of hitting the lottery. I got lucky. Luckier than winning a lottery. PP3 is no longer my nightmare, considering I have failed twice. The curse has been broken! phew~ Thank god! 0 shouts. Monday, August 25, 2008 @ 12:52 AM to Pn Lau Ai Chin's favourite student, who never failed to lend a helping hand in teaching and explaining to me the complicated formulas in maths. a hardworking and intelligent student, who consistently scored 90 and above for add maths a loving classmate whom no one can dislike or hate one of the most modest and unpretentious friend i've ever met, Ju Liang, your strength and determination throughout your battle had been admired and respected. we're all glad that you're free from sufferings now. may you rest in peace. you will always be in our hearts and never be forgotten. 0 shouts. Friday, August 22, 2008 @ 6:35 AM No, I'm not horny. I just need to scratch my boobs. I have rash all over my body. From my arms to my chest until my back. Urgh. All thanks to my beloved housemates. They have nothing better to do and had to come up with this drinking game. The whole point of this game is to get the person drunk and take video of them so that they could blackmail them wtf. I've been dreading to drink all my life (since form 4 to be exact) because: 1. I think beer tastes worse than bitter gout. (to me drinking = beer) Some vodkas taste pretty good tho. 2. Rash will develop all over my body and only subsides after days. It runs in the family. The rash leaves unsightly scars due to my over-scratching. 3. I super hate the hangover part! I know I have the lowest tolerance to alcohol in the world. 2 cups in one shot is killer for a beginner! My housemates had no mercy at all! I could feel my blood raising up to my brain, and the elevated temperature worsen my headache. Thank god i din start strip-dancing or telling my darkest secrets. Or I'd be blackmailed for the rest of my life. Damn. I was the first to collapse on my bed(actually it was my way of getting out of the trap, going back into the game is suicidal). Sadly, I missed all the interesting part. Why must the rashes develop on my chest. Me scratching it makes it looks super obscene. 0 shouts. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 @ 9:36 PM Lately, I've been contemplating on how death and illnesses come to us so easily. Be it car accidents, cancer, murder and all the other worst things that you can think of. This reminds me of the delicate balance of life. When disaster struck you, you have no choice but to accept the fact. You can't cure it, nor can you avoid it, but only succumb to fate. Love more and hate less. Because till the end of the day, all we want is to lead a life of no regrets, and be happy. Life is fragile, people. Handle it with care. You never know what is lying ahead of you. Good or bad. Fragile we human may seem, yet life's tragedies forms the inner core in us. Challenges come to us only to make us stronger. Ju Liang, fight till the end! 0 shouts. Monday, August 18, 2008 @ 12:40 AM Yay! Rejoice!! The worst of the worst is over! I can never imagine myself in such stressful state. The stress level was higher than Mt Everest (lousy simile, i know. will work on that) The last four days were the slowest days of my life. Trying so damn hard to stuff 400 pages into my puny lil brain. I've confined myself in the room 24/7 for almost a month now ever since my trip back from Inverness. Fine, in between I went online and blog hopping, facebook.. that's it! My life revolves around my house. I eat shit study online sleep. Sleeping at 4am every night, waking up at 12pm every noon. I was on the verge of breaking down. At one point, I just wanted to give up coz it feels like it is impossible to memorise everything! Now that the worst is over, we still have PP3, which is slightly less stressful. It is less stressful because we don't have to memorise the whole BNF to sit the paper. But it is, nonetheless, the most impossible-to-pass subject because it highly depends on luck, how calm and careful you are during the exam, and also your examiner! Let's just hope that I can pass without having to resit. PP3 exemption test tmr, wish me luck! :S *** My stress level definitely can't be compared to Lee Chong Wei's during his final match. Kena tapau kao kao. Me and Jacq were shaking our heads non-stop during the match. 惨不忍睹. Lin Dan is one heck of a badminton player, its no wonder Lee got his ass kicked so hard. He is, nevertheless, our country's hero! And thankfully for him, we got ranking no 52 =) if not, we wudn't be on the list at all! But, I felt so sad for him at the same time. Lee didn't even look up for more than 10 secs when he was receiving his medal. He must be devastated. I would be if i were him. Sigh. One more month to my Spain trip! Can't wait :) I'm so gonna save up for Spain and splurge till i drop in Zara! Zara is from Spain btw. 0 shouts. Thursday, August 07, 2008 @ 5:44 AM Finally, I have time to post few of the 500 pictures that we took in Inverness. I'm not in a chronological mood today. Hence, the pictures posted are not in order. Don't be confused la. Here goes. At Inverness... Inverness lies at the mouth of River Ness, a city with abundant of breathtaking sceneries. Let me convince you. Me above River Ness. Hui Bee tryna grab Sue's boobies. A rotating bridge. It turns 90 degrees, to allow boats to sail by. See? Steph in a melancholy mood. Jacq, the Headless *gasps* At Loch Ness... to Urquhart Castle. Loch Ness is one of the must-visit in Scotland. The picturesque view of the lake will leave you salivating. Fyi, Loch stands for Lake, and Ness, is the name of a monster (Nessie), who lives in the lake itself. It's been spotted by some guy many gazillion years ago. Despite numerous search, Nessie was never caught. Anyway, for more info, just wikipedia it =) *This is no candid shot* :P We were cruising our way to Urquhart Castle. Loving the wind! Jeng Jeng. Arriving at Urquhart Castle. Chilling. The ruined castle, splendidly overlooking Loch Ness. Sue imitating the Holy Jesus. Our accommodation. Feels like summer camp, where everyone had to cramp in one small room. Well, basically we have nothing except double decker beds in the room. Its super cramp and most of the floor space was taken by our luggages. The cheapest price to pay for a shelter so that we won't die in the cold. 12 beds, 6 taken by us, the rest are ang mohs, mostly quite good looking haha.12 pounds to sleep with a hunk, totally worth it lar =) I wish. But it wasnt a total lie. I did sleep with the ang moh, only 0.5m apart, separated by the walkway. Actually, I wanted to take a picture of the angmoh behind me. But my big fat head blocked him. The comfort of a jail cell beats this anytime. Thank god the sheets were clean, at least it looked and smelled clean :S Imagine one person snores, the rest can just die lar. My sexy foot and Hui Bee. At first, we weren't too comfortable with the fact of sleeping with a whole bunch of stranger. But, we were too tired to be bothered by the people around us during bed time. Once we laid on our bed, terus we tidur mati. Above River Ness, again. This time with sunlight. Suppose to be the biggest cathedral in Scotland. But too bad they didn't have enough money to complete it. KFC at Eastgate Shopping Centre's food court. They don't serve snack plate with mashed potato and coleslaw. No Hot and Spicy also. No Thai chili sauce. =( And, definitely NOT as finger lickin good as Malaysia's. Yet, they were so contented. In the city *hugss* I know you love me =) Labels: Traveling 0 shouts. |
