Sunday, June 22, 2008 @ 8:36 PM Yesterday, we had an important mission! Our mission was to celebrate Stephanie's ultra belated birthday. I know we were guilty for being super lousy friends for not celebrating her birthday any earlier. So the least we could do was to give a surprise! Hui Bee was our mission commander. Lol. Apparently, Steph was craving for korean food, so HB went online and found a korean restaurant in Glasgow. We found the map and we had a plan in mind. The plan was to just 'jalan sambil shopping then tiba-tiba 'Eh! Korean Restaurant wo! Let's go makan.' Sounds simple, but the truth was a lot more complicating that it sounds. We went shopping for the whole afternoon. We did a lot of camwhoring too!! Steph couldn't resist. Omg! We are no different from whores! :O Anyway, the mission went well as planned. Luckily Steph was blur enough to fall for the trick. Imagine we walked all the way from Buchanan street, all the way along Sauchiehall Street, from many boutiques, to boutique-less, from tall building to short buildings, it was obvious that we were out of the city already, but we kept walking. Steph was diligent enough to asked us to turn back but we all acted super semangat to keep 'exploring'. It was so dumb. To make matters worse, it was drizzling. Thank god for the umbrellas. Poor Jac, her Primark 4 pound shoes were good to look at but do her no good for walking. It caused her berjambak blisters. Aww... ![]() The big red dot was our destination. We made a few detours to shop =) hehe. The red line's the route. It a lot further than it looks. Oh ya we bought chips on the way =) yummy! After almost an hour of walking, finally, we reached our destination. It was the craziest day. The one and only Korean restaurant in Scotland! Wow At one point, we almost gave up coz we thought we were lost. But thankfully we got back to the main road and found our way. Too bad, Steph didn't crave for Korean food as much as we thought. She just casually mentioned that she missed Korean. Aww, but the meal was really good! I hadn't tasted good restaurant food for quite a while. Tasteful Korean side dishes. Too bad it wasn't refillable. Tofu the korean way... =) Happy Belated Birthday, Steph! Here's your 22nd Birthday Cake. Orange roses =) How thoughtful of 'Maria'! Guess who? :) We had no intention of walking back home. So we took a cab, which cost us only 4 pounds. Bloody hell should have just taken a cab there la. =) But all the effort was paid off when the mission was accomplished. It was raining cats and dogs, the wind was so strong till Sue's umbrella almost flew away. But that didn't stop us from going for a drink. It was Sue's idea by the way. o=) Three Blind Mice. Wtf. Cheerio! 0 shouts. |
