Sunday, June 15, 2008 @ 5:09 AM It was love at first sight. I fell in love right after I stepped out of the airport. I fell in love when the refreshing Scottish breeze caressed my skin for the first time. I fell in love before I even got to know the city. The unbearable 13 hour flight was all worth it. (3 days later) I'm now DEEPLY in love with Glasgow. You won't understand how I feel unless you are here to witness it yourself. The weather here is 90% sunny, (or maybe Jamie brought sunlight to Scotland, hence, no rain). The wind is breezy, not-too-strong, wear a tee with a sweater and you are good to go! The city center is just a 10 min walk from University of Strathclyde. That means, I'm just 10mins away from shopping heaven! I've only been here for 3 days and boy, I'm so loving this place. Sad to say, I don't miss Malaysia at all. (not including the people la, of course) Maybe except for the food. Even my hostel is really homey. It's well-equipped, carpet-ed, has all the necessary furniture, my very own Internet connection, a telephone we can use contact people who lives within the campus, FOR FREE! Haha, I can even talk to my roommates, without having to lift my big fat ass from my chair and walk all the way to their rooms. (only 10 steps away) It took my less than half an hour to unpack. And, TA-DA!   Comfy.  Fyi, the blue 'box' is actually my wardrobe. My new room =) Looking out from my window...  The scenery ain't too bad huh? 4 of us in one house with 1 bathroom, 1 toilet and one kitchen with all the necessary stuff. I know its great! :) Along the journey to grocery shopping...     Did you notice that all buildings in Glasgow are all brown in colour? Even their stones (ya, I mean batu) are brown not grey.  An unusual sight in Scotland.  So, it's true that Scottish men wears skirt and blow bagpipes =)  This cathedral is situated opposite my university. Super ancient.  A very talented artist with superb photocopying skill.  Loving Glasgow! I found myself a new baby... a super sexy one...  AAAAAAH it's so sexy! And it looks a lot like my old baby. It's limited edition and only UK has it, i think. I know you hate me. So sue me. 0 shouts. |
