Monday, June 16, 2008 @ 3:13 AM After 3 days of frozen food and canned mac and cheese, finally, one decent chinese meal. We didn't cook actually. It was take-away haha. Although it was so-so only(if we were back in Malaysia, we'd definitely curse and swear), but we actually finished every single biji of rice and noodle!  We were deprived la. I should have been more appreciative of my mom's cooking before this. Sorry, mommy. Ooh, they gave us free har peng (prawn crackers) too. Today, we participated in the Westend Festival Parade in Glasgow, which only happens annually. It was not too bad. The street was super crowded, even pet doggies participated in the parade!    Cute Scottish boys in kilts blowing bagpipes! And, the parade starts...     Sue and my family =)   Lucky for them, the weather was pretty good today, not too cold.   Scarecrow!  WoW!  Fiiiuuweeeet!   Do you see what I see? Hot Scottish lads! =D Look at the crazy crowd!  We went shopping in the afternoon, AGAIN! Somebody , please come and save us before we turn our room into a walk-in closet!  The picture above is taken at Buchanan street.They have many boutiques, from Topshop to Dorothy Perkins, and also other boutiques selling really cheap clothes. At Primark, the clothes are selling at prices which are much cheaper than Padini but the store size is as big as Metrojaya, maybe bigger! All of us were spoilt with too many choices, and finally we ended up buying almost everything we laid our eyes on. Tank tops for only 1pound (RM 6.50), pumps from 4pound to 10pound (RM27 onwards). Bloody hell i bought 3 set of earrings for only 50pence (around RM3.25). Wtf. This street is a shopping paradise. Imagine One U, with 2xbetter boutiques, 3x more fashionable clothings, 5x more fun because its outdoor = Buchanan Street! It is even better when it is sunny so that we won't freeze to death. The weather here can be very unpredictable. Two layers of clothing might not be enough to keep us warm. It can be super hot in the morning and super cold in the afternoon. Yesterday the temperature was rather low. It went down to 7C. I almost couldn't feel my feet. 7C during summer time. I can't imagine winter. 0 shouts. |
