Sunday, January 02, 2005 @ 5:47 PM it was a great, GREAT, trip to beijing! the best part bout it was the snooooooooooww! snow snow snow! my first christmas n bday with snooooooooooowwwww!!! hehehe this trip was a last minute decision, so i waas quite excited bout it..(erm not really actually.. coz its erm... CHINA!) the food... *shakes head* the toilet *shakes head aggressively* well, beijing's toilet was ok compared to my last visit to china.. mayb its bcoz of the upcoming olympic games in beijing..:) day 1 /22nd of dec so i left msia on 21st of dec 2004, sat Air China (hmm it was ok.. the food ...erm ok... :) 
me eating the food! think its supper:) thatz Jess my cousin beside me.. arrive at beijing at 6am in the mornin.. hmm was quite surprise when i knew there was no flight delay n the time oso no delay! same as msia! hehe:) n the temperature was -5!! ARRRR!!! i was jz wearing two layers n one jacket!! *shivers* our 1st stop was at this restaurant for breakfast! OMG! it was friggin cold!!! n it was snowing! its like the sky was snowin to welcome us.. bleh:P first time snow fallin from the sky!! everywhere around us was jz white... pure white.. so white!! but COLD! 
thatz me seeping fresh hot porridge... nice.. ok it was rather plain n tasteless but i was hungry n colddddd!!! those sittin beside me were our tourmates;) very nice ppl:) thatz mommy in blue!

after breakfast, we went straight to tian an men guang chang, sumtin like merdeka square.. its jz.. a square... white square:) thatz me with the victory pose! 
next to tian an men square is the forbidden city.. yup! is the palace u see in most old chinese soap operas. u see that building us? entrance of the forbidden city... 
we're inside the forbidden city... brrrr.. it was freezing cold there!! do u the snow??:) Mom, Jess, Me 
now, we're in the concubine's garden i think...(hmm do u think i will listen to every word of the tour guide?) was too busy foolin around with Jess:)

first lunch in beijing! yummmy!! 
dinner time! eatin beijing duck! okay it tasted BAAADDDD ... really badd.. omg! it really disappointed me man..:( go tai thong... it tastes much much nicer.. :S day 2 / 23rd of dec morning call at 6.30... was forced to eat icy cold buffet breakfast... cold toast,cold spagetti, cold bun, cold everythin! but i still ate lar:) so our next stop was... yup! the great wall!!

me n daddy!! then in the after noon we went to the king's tomb.. (sum king.. dun ask me the name! =) ) 
this is NOT the king's tomb.. its hz the garden outside.. not allowed to take pix at the tomb.. :( day 3/24th of dec its xmas eve! but we're goin no where with xmas atmosphere... next stop was the temple of heaven!! mostly sceneries n historiesss.. i had enuf of sej durin high skul!....zZz.. hehe paiseh...>.<

'dun worry.. ppl will understand u jz visited the panda'... then we also visited the summer palace... i think it was another garden of kings... hehe... it was a very beutiful place.. my cousin sed.. hey! we're actually visit in the summer palace in the winter!... she has got a point u noe.. :)

so this was wut i did on xmas eve! watchin kungfu performance! the tix was friggin expensive coz it was xmas eve... n we missed half of it! coz we were caught in a traffic jam! sigghhh... but it was quite nice tho.. the special effects n all.. we get to take pix with them after the performance.. well i wud b really excited if it was F.I.R... :S hehe:) oh yea n jess gave me a doggie keychain... sweeet lar:) thanks! day 4 /Christmas! again... we did nuttin xmas-sy at all.. nuttin!! went for a trishaw ride in the mornin... the guy was teelin us abuncha stuff bout china history.. but i jz cant understand wutz he sayin.. his accent was too strong!! >.< 
we stopped at this lake... great vieW! quite misty tho:S later, we went to lady's street.. it was named lady's street bcoz the street sells stuff only ladies uses.. well they do have sum men's clothings, but mostly ladies appear at the street.. so this prooves wut? prooves that women luv shoppin!!! who can deny that statement?? n not to forget their foood! men mostly appeared at the food section, u can find jamie there oso!:)

little penang at beijing! owned by a msian cook... the curry was good! not to forget the bak kut teh! arrr.. now i noe i cant live without msian foood... :) its the best among the best! i stuffed myself with two big bowls of rice!! so that i have enuf energy to skii later!!:) arrived at Snow World at 3... we only had 2 hours coz the sky wud b dark by 5... hehe see jamie skiii like a pro.. bleh.. :P slowest among all but at least i din fall!:) slow n steady ma! keke 
ok i noe wut guys r thinkin! im skiing on a level land... still learnin ma..:) the guy in red... (very faggot-ish) is our intructor.. i tot he was a woman until i saw his beard! :O hehe me - bending down... tryin to balance my self.. n figurin how to control with the two stciks!(wuteva u call it:)) 
weeee!!! jamie skiing like a pro liao! ... :P bleh...very slow wan lar... my greatest bday n xmas gift :) that is to skii on xmas! was really happy! but muscle ached at the end of the day.. :S ouch!

u can see jamie giving a pig face.. do u see it?:) day 5 /Boxing day! the last 3 days we only went around to shop.. we din make it to chengde, coz the road was to dangerous as it was really slippery. according to our tour guide, a bus at chengde over turned n 4 singaporians died..so yam gong lar! went to this cantonese restaurant.. n the food was delicious! dad oredered extra crab.. mmm yummmy!! 
thatz jamie eatin crabbie! had n bad stomach at first but when dad told me that we're goin to wang fu jin (china's version of bintang walk) my stomach cured immediately n was ready to fill my stomach again! 
the guy on the right? the 'satay' seller has a great sense of humour.. he's actually 17 oso! haha 
take a good close look at this pic... guess wut r they selling.... *hint: u will nvr want to eat it.. unless ur in fear factor lar..:)* later in the afternoon, we went all the way to the outskirt of beijing to the hotspring... dun wanna tok much bout it.. coz the place was hell creepy!! day 6/27th of dec spent most of our time shoppin on this day.. went to tian jin to 'wei hua jie', cultural street i think...:) very cold...!!! day 7 /last day sad lar...so fast last day liao! went to wang fu jin to walk walk again... went in the shoppin center, sun dong shoppin mall (ownde by hk richest man lee kah seng) i see alot of familiar shops!! hehe 
星巴克 hehe.. thatz wut they call starbucks in chinese! thatz 'ah chu'(thatz wut me n jess call her.. hope she doesnt mind! :( ) standin beside me.. me next closet fren after jess.a really funny person lar.. 
do u see breadtalk behind? =) keke our last meal tgt was the most delicious n the most grand buffet lunch of the trip! they have lots of lots of food! delicious one... jap food oso ada! not to forget the wonderful desserts! mmm *droools*

took a pic with the mongolian dancers... time to go home now.... so sad larr.. but was really shock to bump into sum one we knew at beijing airport! din recognise them at first but i did at last... so ngam lar! the last trip of mine to jiu zhai gou, they were in the same tour as ours! n her daughter ,Pui Mun, was my bestest fren in the trip!! i still write to each other.. but recently not any more coz ....erm.... me lazy lar.. =)
